Multiplication Worksheet Generator with Answer Key

Prepare multiplication fact practice with exact answers, not an AI draft. Choose one or more times tables from 0 to 12, set the other factor's inclusive range, and select 1-60 questions. The on-page preview and printable packet use the same numbered questions. Shuffle for a mixed selection, then print student sheets with or without separate answer pages.

For

Teachers, tutors and parents preparing multiplication fact practice.

Problem

A focused practice sheet needs precise factor limits, enough writing space and answers that match the printed questions.

Output

A printable packet of 1-60 multiplication questions, twenty per sheet, with optional matching answer pages.

Use when

One-table practiceChoose a single table, such as 7, and a multiplier range of 1-12 for a focused twelve-question review.
Mixed fact reviewSelect several tables and shuffle the available facts for a mixed worksheet. Review the sample yourself before assigning it.
Repeated practiceEnable repeated questions when a small fact set needs more practice items. Each available ordered fact is used before the next cycle repeats it.

What to include

Choose the left factorsThe Times tables checkboxes select the left factors from 0 through 12. At least one must remain selected.
Set the right-factor rangeFrom and To are inclusive whole numbers from 0 through 12. From cannot exceed To. The exact number of distinct questions is the number of selected tables multiplied by the range length.
Choose quantity and repetitionRequest 1-60 questions. Without repeats, a count above the available pool is rejected with an explanation; the tool does not silently reduce the count. The ordered questions 3 x 4 and 4 x 3 are distinct.

Steps

01Set up the practiceChoose tables, range and quantity. The initial order is ascending by left factor, then right factor. If the count is smaller than the pool, this takes the first available facts; use Shuffle questions for a mixed selection.
02Inspect questions and answersUse the page arrows to review every sheet. Shuffle updates student questions and their matching keys together. Title, paper size and answer visibility changes do not alter the selected questions.
03Print or save with your browserChoose A4 or US Letter and use the print icon. Match the paper size in the print dialog, disable browser headers and footers, and inspect the preview. Save as PDF is available when supported by your browser; there is no separately hosted PDF file.

Try this

Seven times table
Table 7; range 1-12; 12 questions; no repeats

One student page and one optional answer page cover 7 x 1 through 7 x 12.

Mixed practice
Tables 2, 3, 4 and 5; range 1-12; 20 questions; shuffle

Twenty ordered pairs are sampled from a pool of forty-eight without repeating a pair.

Zero and one
Tables 0 and 1; range 0-5; 12 questions

The answer key includes exact zero and identity products, including 0 x 0 = 0.

Good output

  • Every factor stays within the chosen tables and inclusive range.
  • Every key answer is calculated as the product of the same numbered question.
  • With repeats off, no ordered factor pair appears twice.
  • Question counts remain exact and invalid requests disable printing.
  • The packet contains at most twenty questions per sheet; answer pages follow all student pages.

Avoid

Requesting too many unique factsA single table multiplied by 1 through 12 has twelve different questions. Choose twelve or fewer, expand the table selection, or allow repeats.
Expecting all tables in a short ordered setAn ordered set starts with the lowest selected table. A short set can omit later tables. Shuffle samples from the full pool but does not guarantee equal representation of each table.
Printing the key for studentsDisable Include answer key to print learner sheets only. Keys are always separate pages, never faint answers hidden on a learner sheet.

Limits

Basic multiplication facts only: factors 0-12 and 1-60 questions. No long multiplication, fractions, decimals, negative numbers, word problems or curriculum certification.
No-repeat means unique ordered pairs, not unique products. Swapped factors such as 3 x 4 and 4 x 3 can both appear. Different questions can have the same answer.
Shuffling uses browser pseudorandom selection for low-stakes practice. It does not guarantee a different packet on every click or balanced coverage of selected tables.
Questions and settings are kept only in the open page. No generation API, saved worksheet history or student-data collection is added. Reloading restores defaults; normal page delivery and existing aggregate analytics still apply.
Printing and Save as PDF depend on browser and printer settings. Review the packet before distribution. This tool does not assess learning level or check student responses.

FAQ

Can I choose just one times table?

Yes. Select the table you want and uncheck the others. Set the other factor range and question count. For table 7 and range 1-12 there are twelve distinct ordered questions.

Does the worksheet include a separate answer key?

Yes, when Include answer key is checked. All student pages come first, followed by matching numbered answer pages. Uncheck it to omit the keys entirely from the print packet.

Why does the tool say too few different questions are available?

Your requested count exceeds the number of selected tables times the inclusive range length. Reduce the count, select more tables, expand the range or allow repeats. Invalid requests are not silently shortened.

Can I save a PDF?

Use the print icon and choose your browser's Save as PDF destination if available. Select the matching A4 or US Letter paper size. The site does not store or host a PDF copy of your worksheet.

Does changing the answer-key option change the questions?

No. Toggling answers, changing the title or selecting a different paper size keeps the same questions. Changing factors or count recalculates the set; Shuffle questions makes a new randomized selection or order.

Is this different from the general Worksheet Generator?

Yes. This tool calculates exact basic multiplication facts and makes print-ready question and answer pages locally. The general Worksheet Generator drafts broader subject exercises that need further review and layout.
